Sandvik Underground Handrails
Bend-tech offers Sandvik safety handrails to suit a wide range of loader and truck models.
Our handrails are designed to ensure fall protection and enhanced safety for personnel during maintenance, and are built to withstand the harshest underground mining environments. Built with our patented single action stainless steel hinge system handrails can easily be folded up during maintenance and down during operation, prolonging the integrity of the handrails and corrosion resistance.
Bend-tech offer direct OEM replacement handrails which also include a number of design enhancements, such as the kick-hinge system and additional kick plates which make maintenance and use of the handrails safer and easier. In addition, we also offer custom designed handrails which can be retrofitted to the machine to increase safety and reduce handrail damage. TH663 low-folding handrails
The rear low-folding handrail set is a custom solution that is designed to reduce height safety risks associated with maintenance tasks at the rear of the truck, when the tub is raised. This mobile design allows the handrails to stay fitted to the machine in a lay-flat position while not in use. Whilst these handrails are primarily deployed during maintenance tasks in the workshop, their mobility means that they can be easily lifted up into position in work areas if required.
Compared with the OEM “mid-folding” front RHS handrail, the low-folding Bend-tech design reduces the exposure to wipe-outs as the handrail keeps a lower profile when folded. You can see how the low-folding design works below.
